Shropshire Homes IT Manager Jon Sharrock is set to Cycle 500km this October to fundraise for Public Defibrillators.
Jon will know he is no stranger to fundraising for charity, as well as founding the Shifnal Shockers and Shropshire Shockers, both non-profit groups that raise money for public defibrillators in Shifnal and Shropshire.
Not only this, but he heads up Shropshire Homes’ defibrillator initiative where Shropshire Homes donates a device to each community they build.
Over the last few years, Jon has completed several fundraising challenges, including a 100-mile trek across the Sahara Desert for Midlands Air Ambulance. So, it may come as no surprise to some of you when you find out Jon’s next fundraising challenge…
Jon and his friend, Geoff, will be taking on their hardest challenge to date this October – a 500km cycle through Vietnam and Cambodia to raise funds for Shropshire Shockers.
To kick start their fundraising, they took part in the Shifnal carnival in July, using a large flag donated by Shropshire Homes to advertise their challenge and Just Giving page.
