8 Financial Planning are highlighting the work of their charity partner West Mercia Search and Rescue.
Rikesh Bhatt and Isha Bhatt met with Stephen Arnold who volunteers for the charity and passed on a donation to the search and rescue team to help with their fundraising for life saving equipment, training and maintenance costs.
West Mercia Search and Rescue are called out by the Police and Fire Services when finding and saving people in Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. They provide highly trained and well equipped specialists for:
– Search for missing vulnerable adults and children
– Rescue from floods
– Rescue from rivers and other waterways
– Provision of care to anyone whose life is in danger
Rikesh Bhatt, Director and Financial Planner at 8FP said: “Stephen Arnold and the team have been involved in a number of local missing person and rescue situations. All staff at the charity do this on a voluntary basis and the organisation relies completely on donations. We have been able to make a donation to support their work and we look forward to doing even more in 2023.”
Isha Bhatt, Operations Director at 8FP said: “It has been wonderful to meet with Stephen and understand the level of involvement he and the other volunteers have in the search and rescue missions. The volunteers go through extensive training so that they can at any time find someone and save their life. All because they deeply care. Very admirable”
