Wholesale network provider Fibre Heroes is sponsoring Oswestry’s Balloon Carnival which takes place this weekend.
The Oswestry Balloon Carnival is a two-day family fun event in aid of the Nightingale House Hospice charity. It will be held in the award-winning Cae Glas Park in the centre of Oswestry this Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August.
There are over 25 hot air balloons confirmed across the weekend and visitors can expect to see an array of shapes and sizes with fly-outs, balloon demonstrations and the well-known Saturday evening Night Glow.
The event also includes exciting local carnival entertainment and live music involving the Oswestry Raptors Cheerleaders, Alpacas and Olde Time Fun Fair. As a lively market town, the carnival will host local farmers’ produce market with a variety of different stalls.
Fibre Heroes says it is delighted to sponsor this year’s carnival with their Community Ambassadors bringing a fun fibre engine and hosting their own pink stand with balloons and freebies.
A spokesperson said: “Fibre Heroes is looking forward to being a part of the vibrant Oswestry Balloon Carnival and supporting Nightingale House Hospice, which has led a hot air balloon event for the last five years to raise much-needed funds for the running of the hospice and its services.
“As a wholesale network provider for small and underserved areas, the goal of Fibre Heroes is to create better internet connections through its full fibre network, providing greater digital opportunities for the town of Oswestry and beyond.”
