Family-owned building company Galliers Homes is helping Newport to look more colourful this year by getting involved in the town’s floral campaign.
The company, which will be building a range of homes on two new sites called Swallows Rise and Forton Gate in Newport this autumn, has sponsored two planters on Wellington Road as part of the Newport in Bloom initiative.
Karen Claxton of the Newport in Bloom committee commented: “Having achieved gold awards in the RHS Heart of England in Bloom campaign for many years, Newport in Bloom has always welcomed the opportunity of working with developers to ensure that those newly developed areas can also benefit from stunning floral displays, which are evident throughout the town during the spring and summer months.
“This year we are particularly indebted to Galliers Homes for their sponsorship of two large planters which will greatly enhance the appearance of Wellington Road for residents and which will be planted in time for the national RHS Britain in Bloom judging this summer.”
Sharon Taylor, marketing executive with Galliers Homes, based on Shrewsbury Business Park, said that the company was pleased to get involved in the floral campaign.
“We are enjouying seeing our planters come into flower and hope that local residents will enjoy the flowers throughout the summer,” she added.
