Business Telecommunication and VoIP specialists Connexis Limited has welcomed Joe Hill to the team as a full time engineer after he successfully completed his apprenticeship.
Joe completed his Advanced Level Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web & Telecoms Professionals at Telford College.
He follows in the footsteps of two successfully qualified Telford College apprentices trained and now employed by Connexis – Jack Wilson, Senior Engineer and Technical Manager, Joe Newton (pictured with Joe Hill above).
With successful completion rates for apprentices around 30% nationally (according to Full Fact in 2015), Connexis say they are proud of their record of training, retaining and promoting apprenticeships within.
Joe (Hill) said “an apprenticeship is a great foundation for the start of anyone’s career and throughout mine Connexis have not only given me the opportunity to develop as an individual in a technical manner but as in individual in a personal manner.
Technical Manager Joe Newton added “as an apprentice myself I really value the training Telford College and Connexis gave me, and I have continued to use the apprenticeships to ensure we train and retain quality technical employees, and I am delighted that Joe has successfully completed his course and become a valued member of the Technical Team”.
As a junior engineer, Joe’s role now involves fault diagnostics and resolution, installation and maintenance of new and existing telecoms and IT equipment both remotely and on site.
