Family-run construction firm creates jobs with new developmeant

A family-run construction firm has created more than local 20 jobs during the developmeant of four three bedroomed homes in Shrewsbury.

TC Homes began the building work on the development called Red Barn which is located on Longden Road in December.

In addition to the development, the company is also renovating an old building in Coleham, called The Warehouse, to become its new town centre offices. The project is due for completion in May.

TC Homes Contracting, the arm of the company which builds homes for private clients, including housing associations, has further contracts worth around £7million in development.

Alexandra Road, Wellington, a development of 24 houses and apartments for Severnside Housing, was handed over in the first week of March. A development at Poynton Road in Shawbury of 20 semi-detached two and three-bedroomed houses for Floreat Housing Group, is also due to be finalised this month.

The latest projects to begin include a £1.5million contract for Meres and Mosses in Bomere Heath of one bungalow, six two bedroomed and six three bedroomed houses.

A £2.3million, 22 home site in Smethwick with West Midlands Housing Association, is also due to begin soon.
