Salon Ten are celebrating top marks in all areas from the nation’s top independent salon assessors.
The company has received recognition from the expert Good Salon Guide assessment team for Beauty, Salon, Extensions Artist and Colour Expert.
Every Good Salon Guide-recognised salon is assessed by a team of highly-trained professionals against a set of criteria that has been developed with the general public, industry and trade bodies. Salon Ten received the top five star rating for hair and beauty based on their staff’s training, qualifications and expertise.
Salon owner Nicky Macar said: “We are honoured to receive these top assessments which are testament to the hard work of the entire team. The five star rating is reserved for top-of-the-range hair and beauty salons with highly-qualified staff and a personalised service.
“New customers can be assured that when they visit a Good Salon Guide recognised salon, the stylists or beauty therapists are qualified and/or suitably experienced, giving you confidence in the service they are performing.”
The hair team were also proud to be awarded Colour Expert and Extensions Artist. These accolades are given to reassure customers who are looking for a top quality professional colour or hair extension service from a salon.
Nicky added: “Having your hair coloured or choosing extensions can be a major decision which you don’t want to leave to chance. These awards reassure clients that we are highly trained in the latest fashion hair colours and styles but that we value natural hair condition and a personal service above all else.
“Evidence of our qualifications, experience and suppliers were all thoroughly investigated.”
Jodie Withers, Good Salon Guide editor, said that the awards, which started in 1993, were created as a reaction to customers’ concerns about lack of training and assessment.
She said: “The Good Salon Guide is the only independent nationwide scheme for assessing professional standards and service within the hairdressing industry and has become the kitemark of quality for the public and hairdressing industry.
“Hairdressing salons are visited and objectively assessed by professionally trained inspectors against a set of strict criteria in the same way as the well-know AA or RAC hotel guides, to give the consumer confidence in their choice. All salons are reassessed annually.
“A Good Salon Guide rating shows that the salon has suitably trained and qualified staff, top quality products and aims to achieve and maintain the highest standards.”
