David Wilson Homes donated the money to the children’s football team, which allowed them to purchase training kit for the young players. The team trains near the homebuilder’s Coppice Meadows development.

Steve Barton, Senior Sales Manager at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “We are delighted to have been able to contribute to the community in Shifnal by providing this donation to the sports clubs and it is fantastic that the team has benefited from our support. The children look great in their new kit.”

Richard Carless, Team Manager for the Shifnal Europeans Under 10s, said: “The contribution from David Wilson Homes could not have been better timed.

“I took over this team just over two years ago and we had just seven players, now we have nearly 30 players and two sides at this age group. The money David Wilson Homes gave us has gone to providing all of the players with new training kits that they wear at least twice a week. I want the players to represent our club in a professional looking way that gives them a sense of pride but also makes them all love to come to training.

“On behalf of Shifnal Europeans, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank David Wilson Homes for their very kind donation.”
