Nine lawyers at a Shropshire law firm have been recognised as leaders in their field in a national “who’s who” of legal professionals.

Chambers and Partners UK 2017 Edition ranks the best lawyers in specialist areas of law across the UK based on independent research and interviews with solicitors and clients.

Lanyon Bowdler, which has offices across Shropshire and Herefordshire, has nine lawyers highlighted in what is a valuable independent endorsement of its expertise.

They are: Kay Kelly, Lucy Small and Emma Broomfield, of the firm’s clinical negligence team, Sue Hodgson, a specialist in family law, Neil Lorimer and Dawn Humphries, of the personal injury team, John Merry, head of the employment team, Jon Clifford, of the dispute resolution team, and David Brammer, head of planning.

Brian Evans, managing partner at Lanyon Bowdler, said: “We are delighted to have nine of our team included in the rankings, which is the most we have ever had.

“We see independent endorsement of the quality of our legal services as critical in assisting clients to select a law firm who will deliver on their promises.

“The legal directories are highly competitive and to be highlighted as a leader in your field is a great achievement for any lawyer and a tribute to their experience, knowledge and skill.

“Lanyon Bowdler has both solicitors and partners included this year, which is unusual and demonstrates the depth of talent and expertise at the firm.

“The Chambers Directory is very well respected, and is known as the ‘who’s who’ of the legal profession, so to have lawyers included across a diverse range of practice areas and offices is testament to the consistent quality of advice on offer right across the firm.

“It is a clear indication that our clients can be assured of getting the very best legal expertise when they come to us for advice.”

Brian added: “Being ranked in Chambers is important because it shows that our lawyers have been independently assessed and given an outstanding rating based on what our clients and peers have to say about us.

“We are very grateful to the clients who provide feedback on us and allow us to showcase the work we are doing for them.

“We are passionate about helping our clients to achieve their goals and our aim is to do that to the highest possible standard.”
