Each player from award winning caravan dealership Salop Leisure and leading car and commercial dealerships Greenhous Group has been set a target of raising £50 to play on Shrewsbury Town’s hallowed turf.
Both businesses are keen to drum up as much support as possible for the hour long, 11-a-side match, which kicks off at 7pm. The £1 entrance fee includes a raffle for a prize draw and all the proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Supporters will have access to the Arthur Rowley lounge where refreshments will be available.
“Company pride is at stake and our players will be going flat out for victory,” said Salop Leisure’s managing director Mark Bebb. “We hope to have a few surprises in store for Greenhous on the night.
“The match is a great opportunity for players from both companies to play at one of the best stadiums in the npower League One and we hope to raise a large amount of money for a very deserving charity.”
Dave Sullivan, director and general manager at Greenhous, believes the match is a great way to combine fundraising with building team morale.
“Greenhous were extremely keen to accept the football challenge from Salop Leisure, which we believe is a great opportunity to bring two companies together outside of the work environment and have some fun!
“The match is not only a great way to raise money for a good cause, but also means staff from different areas of the group are able to train and play together.
“We urge everyone to come down and show their support for the players and the Macmillan charity.”
