The talented musicians at Shrewsbury School will be giving a chamber recital at Shrewsbury Abbey on Remembrance Sunday, 12th November.

The concert will start at 5pm, and feature a wonderful selection of music by groups of instrumentalists. With up to 20 in all taking part, it promises to be a very special occasion.
Refreshments will also be served from 4.15pm. Admission is free, with a retiring collection at the end of the recital in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support services in Shropshire.
This charity event is a delightful collaboration between Shrewsbury School’s music department, Shrewsbury Abbey and the volunteers or the Shrewsbury Macmillan Fundraising Group.
“We are so grateful to Shrewsbury School and the Abbey for their enthusiastic support, and hope that everyone enjoys a magical evening of music” said Gill Eleftheriou, a Macmillan volunteer.
Tickets can be reserved online in advance at eventbrite.co.uk or by email at shrewsburymacmillanfundraising@gmail.com.
Earlier in the afternoon, the Abbey will be holding a special Remembrance Day Evensong, starting at 3pm, to which all are also welcome.
