Galliers invests in career progression

Staff are benefitting from a new training investment programme introduced by thriving Shropshire house builder Galliers Homes this year.

The Shrewsbury-based company, which builds housing developments throughout the county, announced a major commitment to staff training and career progression at its 2017 annual meeting.

The latest members of staff to see their jobs step forward are Paige Carey, who moves on from land and technical administrator to assistant technical coordinator at the firm’s office on Shrewsbury Business Park.

Niamh Morrissey steps up to the position of a trainee quantity surveyor with Galliers’ sister business Cameron Homes. She previously carried out after-sales and sales administration work and recently held a commercial secretarial role.

Yasmin Bagria transfers from accounts assistant into the new role of technical/ commercial trainee and she, Paige and Niamh are now all undertaking a two year HNC course in construction and the built environment at Walsall College on a part time basis.

Accounts assistants Heather Barber and Natalie Reynolds have been enrolled on three-year courses at Walsall College which will see them reach level 4 on the Association of Accounting Technicians programme.
