Many thieves don't even have burglary tools because many homeowners leave garden tools lying around that does the job for them. Otherwise, they use pry bars, knifes, or screwdrivers. Often they just help themselves to what you leave lying around your home or from garages or sheds which you have left unlocked.

Almost 33% of burglaries are classified as not involving forced entry because people still leave their windows, doors, shed and garage open or unlocked. It's practically an open invitation to steal.
