On May 11th over 300 Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the UK will be travelling to the International Centre, for a programme of creative crafting, hands-on advice and inspirational speakers.
While many businesses have struggled in recession, crafting is an industry that continues to flourish. In the UK, the estimated number of contemporary craft making businesses stands at 23,050 with an estimated total income of £457 million.
Stampin’ Up! operates via a network of independent sales consultants. The company exemplifies the crafting success story, having recently announced its expansion into two new European countries – Austria and the Netherlands.
Paula Gorry, Business Development Manager, UK comments:
“Our business has enjoyed impressive growth and much of this is down to our flexible business model which allows our demonstrators to expand their business as much or as little as they want, fitting it around other jobs, parenthood or study.
“We are incredibly excited about our Telford event. Crafting is a very social activity and Telford’s central location is ideal to welcome our demonstrators from all corners of the UK.”
