Shropshire Disability group seeks more volunteers
The Shropshire Disability Network has been put forward for the NatWest Community Force project.
NatWest is giving three organisations in each Community Force area the chance to win funding of Â£6000. Although voting closed on 24th October the network currently have volunteering opportunities for people to consider taking up as part ofÂ their project.
Any volunteer that joins them via the project and does 80 hours voluntary work or raises Â£250 in a year for the Shropshire Disability Network, Natwest will match with a further Â£250.

Ruby Hartshorn, from Shropshire Disability, said â€œThere are no paid workers at SDN – we operate totally by volunteers and we are grateful to anyone who can gives us a little of their time. That may be – buddying at our quarterly meetings by serving tea/coffee etc to those who need help or it may be taking our leaflets to various locations on a regular basis, for example GP practices or libraries.
